My Lewes garden is blushing pink this April

It is a moistly grey Spring day here in Lewes, UK. One of those days that feels like the moment you hold back tears but feel placidly tranquil too. The light couldn’t be more appropriate for my new tulips that blush in the slightest of pink understatements but, I like to think, make their own particularly subtle impact after all that early spring yellow.

They also blend perfectly with my apple and cherry blossom now in full bloom and a delight not just to me but to a new army of bees. Pink is definitely the new yellow.
