Wonderful photographs of Lake Michigan lighthouses remind us that cold can be very cold indeed.

Believe it or not these are photographs not fantasy paintings.  The lighthouses in these pictures are by photographers Thomas Zakowski and Tom Gill and they’ve stopped me from ever complaining about the cold here in Lewes, UK.

These ice-covered lighthouses are at the St. Joseph North Pier on the coast of Lake Michigan, USA and prove that good old Mother Nature has a real eye for art. Here in Britain, we don’t know just how cold cold can be.
